Finland men won gold and the chance to play in the Ford World Men's Curling Championship 2015 after defeating Netherland's 7-6 in an extra end in the B Division.

They will now play Germany in a best of three games World Challenge series to determine the final European zone place at the Ford World Men's Curling Championship 2015 in Halifax, Canada.

Finland men's skip, Aku Kauste, following their win against Netherlands, said: "It was a tough match. I think both teams were a little bit nervous. It's a big game because the winner gets to play for the last spot in the Worlds and that was our goal from the start to be in that play-off. Now we are there, so we are really happy, but it was a really tough match. I guess that a couple of steals were pretty important. I made a couple of key shots when we were in big trouble and they couldn't respond to that. But it was an extra end game, so it's pretty much anyone's game."

Netherland's picked up the silver medals while England won bronze as they beat Hungary 8-5 after nine ends of play.

In the women's B Division, Norway won gold as they defeated Hungary 10-6. They will now go on to play Estonia for the last European zone place in the World Women's Curling Championship 2015 which will be played in Sapporo, Japan.

Norway women's skip, Kristin Skaslien, following their win against Hungary, said: "I think we had control except for the steal of three that Hungary had in the sixth end, but otherwise I felt the game was under control. In the World Challenge game I guess that there will be three tight games and hopefully we will get through.”

With Hungary taking silver, Italy won the bronze medals as they beat Austria 10-2 after eight ends of play.
